It’s National Apprenticeship Week and we are delighted to introduce Naomi, who has joined the famille team as our apprentice content creator.
It’s always been our ambition to ensure that as famille grows, we also grow the digital skills needed in our business and beyond. The apprentice content creator role is of huge importance to our offer here at famille, and Naomi is already proving a great addition to the team.
With a background in graphic design, which complements the skills that will be gained through the apprenticeship and developed further by working with the team, our clients and supplier network, Naomi has hit the ground running and is already busy developing digital content for famille and our clients.
Growing the skills we need
For famille, taking on an apprentice is a great way to inject new talent and perspective into our work culture to create a diverse, dynamic and successful workforce. For Naomi, it offers an excellent opportunity to access ‘on the job’ training and stay in the local area, close to family and friends.
Naomi explains why the content creator apprenticeship with famille is such a great fit:
“I don’t have a lot of experience in digital marketing, but I have lots of enthusiasm and a massive desire to learn how to create content in a professional setting. It’s a fantastic role, with lots of variety and no two days are the same. It’s great to have the opportunity to combine training with work, so I can apply what I’m learning by helping create content for bespoke campaigns for a range of clients.”
“I’m also very lucky to have found the right apprenticeship – with the job spec for the role at famille ticking all the boxes – in the right location. I’d previously thought I’d need to move away from the area to find my dream job, but I managed to find it close to my home in Cambridgeshire.”
Debbie, founder at famille, said:
“It’s not always necessary to have followed a creative path before applying for an apprenticeship in the creative sector. Having a desire to learn new skills and form part of a team in a workplace setting is essential. We worked hard through the recruitment process to make sure that we selected the right candidate for the role, and we’re delighted with how quickly Naomi has become an intrinsic part of our team.”
“There are some fantastic candidates out there, well suited to apprenticeships. I encourage employers to invest as much time and energy in finding an apprentice for your team, as you would with any recruitment. This makes all the difference for a successful outcome for your business and your apprentice.”
famille worked in partnership with Access Creative College, the training provider for the Content Creator apprenticeship, to appoint Naomi. The apprenticeship role has been funded by Cambridge City Council through the Levy fund. We are hugely thankful to both parties for their support with the funding, recruitment, onboarding and training delivery.
