Waterbeach is home to the former barracks and airfield, a 716 acre site managed by master developer Urban&Civic.

Waterbeach is just 3 miles from Cambridge, boasting a 23 acre lake and rich biodiversity. New facilities include a sustainable travel hub, 6500 new homes, a health centre, park and ride facility, five schools and more.

Strategy

Our approach at Waterbeach began with supporting the Urban&Civic delivery teams through consultation phases, and into the first phase of delivery which will see the first new homes occupied in 2023. Consulting with stakeholders and delivery partners from Landscape Architects and Ecologists to Archaeology teams, with audience insights garnered through social monitoring has informed the resulting strategy and implementation. Outcome

We continue to work with the Urban&Civic team to drive forward the digital strategy. As the housebuilders prepare to launch the first new homes, we are focussing on user experience improvements as part of a phased evolution for the Waterbeach website, social media content and management of the channels. Waterbeach’s online presence continues to grow with a focus on achieving accessible online experiences for a wide range of audiences.
