At famille, we aim to stay ahead of the curve and embrace innovation. So, we’re excited to share that our Digital Media Coordinator, Naomi Taylor, has completed the Google AI Essentials course!

Throughout the course, Naomi explored a wide range of AI concepts considering how they can bemeaningfully applied in the workplace. From understanding what AI is, how it works to recognising its capabilities and limitations, the course offered a well-rounded foundation in AI fundamentals.

To retain our commitment to sustainability we believe in leveraging AI mindfully, choosing tools and practices that minimise energy use and support our eco-friendly values. This involves evaluating the energy efficiency of the AI technologies we integrate into our processes and recognising the importance of being particular with our use of AI tools.

As we sometimes use tools developed by third parties, it’s essential to thoroughly understand their terms of use, privacy policies, and any associated risks. This awareness helps us maintain accountability and build trust with our clients and stakeholders. Also, by being cautious about the data we input into these tools, we protect our organisation from potential breaches and data leaks.

While, prioritising ethical considerations when using AI tools not only protects our organisation and its data but also reflects our commitment to responsible business practices. It demonstrates to our clients and partners that we value their privacy and security, enhancing our reputation as a trustworthy and ethical company in the industry.

“One of the highlights for me was discovering how AI tools can genuinely elevate productivity and streamline workflows. It’s remarkable to see how these tools can support better problem-solving. However, throughout the course, I was reminded of the importance of human judgment and responsibility when integrating AI into everyday tasks”

A key highlight of the course for Naomi was learning how to write effective prompts for AI tools. This is an essential part of maximising the potential of large language models. Naomi also gained valuable insights into ethical AI use, exploring risks such as bias and privacy concerns, and how to mitigate them.

The course wrapped up with forward-looking strategies for evaluating AI tools, staying up to date with industry innovations, and identifying new opportunities to use AI across different work scenarios.

“With this new knowledge, I’m looking forward to bringing good ideas and responsible AI practices to our work. Whether it means experimenting with new tools, improving our workflows, or sharing insights with the team, I’m eager to see where this takes us!”

“This course helped me better understand what is happening behind the scenes and how to boost productivity without losing the human touch and judgment that are important.”

It’s vital for us to remain people-focused at Famille. AI can’t bridge the gap between brands and our clients, but we can. We’re committed to ensuring the personal touch is always present in everything we do, while using AI to streamline our workflows and better support each other and our clients. Naomi Taylor
